STAR STUDDED LIVERPOOL CRUSHES DERBY

Liverpool are now on the top place of the premiership table after they crushed Derby yesterday. It was goals galore at Anfield . Xabi Alonso opened the scoring for the Reds through a trademark free kick from almost 40 yards and he then doubled his goal tally later. Dutch winger Ryan Babel too got his name in the score sheet . His goal showed his class as he went pass through two Derby defenders and then scoring his first goal at Anfield. Javier Mascherano was filling the midfield spot instead of the injured captain Steven Gerrard and he had an excellent game assisting two goals. Torres scored the third goal and the derby defenders had no answer to his lightning pace. Torres ended with a brace in the score sheet.
