Manchester United reaches 5th round of FA-Cup

Manchester United keeps the lead at the Top

It was Boxing day the EPL Champions regained their Top Position for the first time in this season. Man Utd beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Lights by their regular margin of 4-0. Christiano Ronaldo produced one of the best free kicks of the season and Rooney scored his first premiership goals after his return from injury.

Saha netted Rooney's pass in the first half and then scored a easy penalty in the second half. Arsenal failed to score against Portsmouth and resulted in a Nil-Nil draw. Now Man utd leads the table with just 1 point ahead of Arsenal.

It was the match of the season at Stamford bridge where everything happened for both the teams. There were 2 penalties and 3 sent off. The match ended in 4-4, it was an awesome treat for the boxing day fans.

Liverpool somehow manged to get a win over Derby. Torres scored earlier but Dempsey equaised in the second. Then it was once again Steven Gerrard who scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the match.

Ronaldo Double give some hope for the Red Devils

Christiano Ronaldo strike twice last night to secure a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham at Old Trafford. His long awaited hattrick was denied this time by Referee. Once again it was referee who dominated the game.

Last Sunday Referee made sure that Spurs were denied even a single point even in their home. Referee in my opinion should be the Man of Match. He gave a easy penalty decision and then followed it up with a red card for Keanne. He easily won the match for Birmingham. It was same last night. The referee booked Ronaldo for diving instead of awarding a penalty.

Another good reason for Fergusun to smile was the fitness of Wayne Rooney. He made his comeback last night and played 70 minutes before being substituted by Lois Saha. It was clearly Ronaldo's day and he won the match for Manchester United. It was a welcome victory for Manchester United fans after they were defeated by the struggling team Bolton.

Christiano Ronaldo who missed the Prestigious European Honor to the AC Milan Kaka is the Leading Top Scorer in the Premier League this season. He now has 13 goals to his name followed by Keane and then by Fabregas.

EPL Weekend Fixtures - very Crucial Matches

This weekend will see one of the most awaited clash of the English Premier League. It's going to be the clash of the Titans Arsenal Vs Manchester United. Injury filled Manchester United nets 4 times agaisnt Wigan

The game started in a dramatical manner which saw 2 players injured and being substituted in the first 20 minutes itself. First it was Vidic who was injured and was replaced by Anderson and then he was followed by Oshea who also got injured in the starting moments of the game. He was replaced by another youngster Sismpson.

The Goal rain started when Tevez received and controlled an excellend though ball and shot an an excellent goal byspassing goalie. Then it was followed by C.Ronaldo who scored twice and missed the third one. Rooney scored his first gaol of this season with a free header.

Alex Fergusun should be happy witg this result and also the man utd fans who have been waiting since the start of the season to see some goals. Anderson did play his part today and assisted a goal. Carloz Tevez scored the second for Manchester United. Pique seems to be a good alternative for Vidic and he was a but attacking too. he was the one who created the chance for Ronaldo's second goal, with a fantastic through ball to Wyane Rooney who gave fast low cross to C.Ronaldo.

In the second match of the saturday at Villa Park , Aston Villa managed to get a 1-0 victory over struggling West Ham who is without their star striker Craig bellamy.

Once again this season Manchester united have regained the Top position in the Premier league as the league Leaders. But their injury worries still continues.

Two new Premiership downfall and contenders

This premiership start saw the downfall of Manchester United and Spurs . The Red devils drew their first 2 matches of the premier league while the super spender Spurs lost both their matches. Manchester united has spent more than 50 Millions pound in the transfer market which saw their worst possible start. Their new signings Owen hargreaves and Anderson is yet to make their premiership debut while the crisis filled Tevez made very little impact in the 90 minutes. Nani who replaced Rooney in the first match and started the match against Portsmouth did not impress much.

With all the four new signings yet to make a impact , the Red Devils lost Rooney due to injury and wil; be out of action for the next couple of months. Only player who made some chances for Manchester united was ronaldo who played brilliantly against Portsmouth was sent off for head butting. This draw and ronaldo's red card clearly signs the title loss for the champions.

Spurs who spent actively in the transfer market played the worst form of football losing to both Sunderland and then to Everton who clearly dominated the Spurs in all the aspects of the game.

This premiership season also saw the growth of two new title contenders apart from the top 4. This two clubs are Manchester City and Everton. Both played attacking football while defending perfectly. Another club that needs attraction is New Castle United who scored 3-0 in their starting fixture. Their new signings Smith and Geremi played a important part in their success.

The 3 teams of the top 4 made a positive start with Chelsea , Arsenal and Liverpool winning their starting matches comfortably.
