Mancheter United lead for the first time in the season

It was Boxing day the EPL Champions regained their Top Position for the first time in this season. Man Utd beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Lights by their regular margin of 4-0. Christiano Ronaldo produced one of the best free kicks of the season and Rooney scored his first premiership goals after his return from injury.

Saha netted Rooney's pass in the first half and then scored a easy penalty in the second half. Arsenal failed to score against Portsmouth and resulted in a Nil-Nil draw. Now Man utd leads the table with just 1 point ahead of Arsenal.

It was the match of the season at Stamford bridge where everything happened for both the teams. There were 2 penalties and 3 sent off. The match ended in 4-4, it was an awesome treat for the boxing day fans.

Liverpool somehow manged to get a win over Derby. Torres scored earlier but Dempsey equaised in the second. Then it was once again Steven Gerrard who scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the match.

EPL Weekend Fixtures - very Crucial Matches

This weekend will see one of the most awaited clash of the English Premier League. It's going to be the clash of the Titans Arsenal Vs Manchester United. The Champions will have a uphill task in facing the League Leaders. Both the Red Devils and the Gunners are at the top of the table with the same points. Arsenal with one game in hand stands first.

Arsenal is yet to loose a game this season, while Manchester United have scored 4 goals consistently in their last 4 outings. Manchester United lost both of their premiership games against Arsenal last season and they will be ready to show their revenge.

Injury Blows

Arsenal Striking Spear head Robin Van Persie is injured and is out of their squad. He will not be available for this match along with their center back Senderos. All other Arsenal players are well fit and are raring to continue their undefeated streak this season.

While Manchester United have a separate squad for injury. Their injury worries is added by the recent long time injuries to their Center Mid-Fielders Paul Scholes and Carrick.

This is the first time Manchester United will play Arsenal in their new stadium Emirates. This match will override the importance of all other EPL matches. This will also be a decider. This Cracker will be a feast for fans of both the team.

As per most prediction the outcome will either be a draw or it would be in favour of Arsenal. Manchester united will be starting as Underdogs for the first time in many years in the premier League. Spanish Wonder kid Cesc Fabregas will be the key for Arsenal success. He is the guy who scored a beauty at Anfield to increase the worries for Liverpool.

Both the teams seems to be confident and are expected to attack which will provide a joy for fans.

Other fixtures that is worth mentioning here is the match between dying Liverpool and growing Blackburn.

Arsenal Clinches a triller with the help of Van Persie

Van Persie scored twice against Sunderland to win a thrilling a match which could have gone any way. Arsenal Scored twice in the opening 20 minutes. Diaby's goal was disallowed due to a foul on Fabregas which resulted in the free kick. van perise took the free kick and scored a scorcher with his left foot as every one stood and watched the ball into the net.

Few minutes later Senderos scored the second of the match. The last time he scored a gaol was in Jan, 2006. Arsenal was in full control and dominated the first 20 minutes. Diaby's goal was again disallowed by the linesmen this time. He was never near off side when he scored the goal.

Then Roy keane's men took full control of the game. Sunderland scored in the first half. Then second half completely belonged to Sunderland and their excellent attacking prooved too much for Arsenal's defence. Sunderland leveled the score in the 55th minute.

Then it was high class drama untill Van Persie scored again from an excellent assist from Walcott. It was an excellent effort from Van Persie who netted is second goal of the match. Few minutes later he was substituted by Gilberto who was celebrating his 31st birthday.

Referee's poor form continued this season when the referee sent off Paul Mcshane for a mistimed tackle. Still it was an excellent effort from Sunderland the credit should be given to them who came back from 2-0 deficit against the League leaders.

Ross Wallace and Jones scored for Sunderland but that was not enough to stop the League Leaders.
