UNITED EDGE PAST BLACK CATS

Manchester United had a busy day in the field yesterday as they edged past Roy Keane's Sunderland. United were having most of the possession but they were not able to finish it into a goal. The missing jig saw in the United's armory was a striker and that crisis seems to be coming to an end as Louis Saha marked his first match for the Red Devils and he scored the winner 19 minutes from time. Anderson made his debut for United and he was impressive but he was eventually substituted for Saha. Van der Sar was never challenged in the whole match and it seems that the Premiership champions are beginning to find their golden touch again.

RESULT:

MANCHESTER UNITED 1 -0 SUNDERLAND

SCORERS:

LOUIS SAHA
