Rest of the League's actions :

West Ham 2- 1 Blackburn Rovers

Goals from Argentinian Carlos Tevez and a dubious goal from Bobby zamora moved West Ham from the bottom of the table . Balckburn's Christopher Samba 's goal could save Blackburn from a draw. The goal from Zamora was said to be offside one but the refree ruled that off giving some relief to Alan Curbishley and his men.


Manchester City 2 - 0 Middlesbrough

Joey Barton proved to be the man of the hour for City's fans as he was the provider for both the goals . Barton , who was boowed by his fans for showing lack of character silenced his critics by this match.
Sylvan Distin scored from a Barton's cross and the Belgian stiker Emile Mpenza scored in the second half . It was Mpenza first goal forCity.


Wigan 0 - 0 Fulham

Folan was carried off on a stretcher with an ankle injury after a 28th-minute clash with Carlos Bocanegra.

Reading 0 - 0 Portsmouth

Richard Hughes of Portsmouth was desperately unlucky not to break the deadlock on 80 minutes as his stunningand curving left-foot kick hit the post with goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann left to spectate. Both the teams are vying for UEFA cup spot for the next season.
