Striker Crisis shoots up for Man Utd as Solskjaer might retire

Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the widely know as a Super-sub might call it a day . Solskjaer who has been suffering from knee injury in recent years, is all to set to announce his retirement from Red Devils team. His announcement could have come at this time where Man utd are well short of striker, with Rooney and Saha injured.

Adding to that , Fegie has also sold Alan Smith and Rossi only a few days ago. Crisis filled Argentine Carloz Tevez is the lone striker for United and has not upto it's standards. Giggs is trying to assist him in front, but it's of no use.

At this situation Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to announce his retirement within 24 hours from now. Berbatov has denied links with the Red Devils atleast for this month. There is not much time left for Fergie to buy a striker to fill the vaccum created by Smith, Rossi, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Rooney and Saha due to injury. It would be interesting to see if Fergie makes a panic buy for striker.

The Norwegian forward, who scored the winner in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich as United won the Treble in 1999, made several comebacks in the last four years but has failed to fully overcome the problem.Solskjaer, dubbed the 'Baby-Faced Assasin', joined United from Molde for £1.5million in 1996 and has firmly established himself as a hero at Old Trafford.

One thing for sure is Manchester United and it's fans including me will miss the service of the 'Baby-Faced Assasin' Solskjaer.
