CITY SUFFER DEFEAT AT LAST

Manchester City suffered their first defeat of their campaign under the management of Sven Goran Eriksson. City who were on a high after their derby win over Manchester United traveled to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal. Although Arsenal were without their new captain, William Gallas they seemed to control the game from the start . The Goalkeepers of the both the team were unchallenged in the first half . Arsenal keeper Almunia was the first to be challenged by City striker Emile Mpenza . And after that it was Arsenal throughout. Kasper Schmeichel saved a penalty off Robin Van Persie and a long range shot from Denilson, but he had no answer to Cesc Fabregas's shot from the near post. This goal was the first one conceded by the Danish goalkeeper.
